We collect various types of information directly from you depending on your request. For example, if you are just enquiring about a product we only need the minimum of contact details which you provide (e.g. name and email address), but if you purchase goods from us we will need more information.

We collect information about you when you visit our website, complete any of our online contact forms, or when you contact us by phone, email or in person.

Purposes involving legitimate interests:
When you visit our website we use aggregated and anonymised data (i.e. data that cannot identify you individually) to evaluate and improve our website and online marketing activities.

With whom do we share your information?

  • Our card payment processing provider, Worldpay (UK) Ltd, for the purpose of taking payment from a credit or debit card you have provided to us (in compliance with PCI DSS regulations)
  • Our courier or freight forwarder, for the purpose of delivering goods to an address you have provided to us.
  • Our accountants, to allow them to process our end-of-year accounts
  • Our most appropriate international distributor, if you reside in a territory in which we have a distributor
  • Relevant suppliers, in cases where assistance is required for the purpose of providing you with a quote, delivering a product or service, or answering your questions.
  • Trade references whose details you have provided, for the purpose of progressing a credit account application you have made.
  • Our website hosting company, Paragon Internet Group, for the purpose of hosting our website.
  • Our website analytics provider, Google, for the purpose of evaluating and improving our website and online marketing activities. Note that Google aggregates and anonymises this data.

Will your data leave the EU?

Many of the above organisations with whom we share data are multinational companies whose headquarters are outside the EU, whilst some others are based entirely outside the EU. We therefore cannot guarantee that data passed to these companies will remain in the EU, so please contact us if you have any concerns.

In the case of our suppliers, we have a global network of suppliers but your information will only be shared with the specific supplier concerned, and only if data sharing is necessary in order to provide you with a quote, deliver a product or service, or answer your questions.

Google, who provides our website analytics services, is certified to the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework.

How long do we keep your data for?

We keep aggregated & anonymised data about your use of our website for a period of 26 Months.

We keep the data used to answer your questions or provide you with products or services until we no longer need it, or until we are no longer required by law to keep it (whichever is longer), at which point we will securely erase or destroy your data.

Your rights relating to your data
You have the right to request a copy of the personal information that we hold about you. If you would like to make a subject access request please contact us and we will provide you with a copy of all the data we hold about you within a period of 1 month, as long as we are confident of your identity.

You have the right to correct and update your personal information.

You have the right to request us to erase your data, or to restrict the use of it, which we will do as long as we are not required by law to retain or use that data and we do not have grounds to refuse your request.

You have the right to request that we transfer the personal information we hold about you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

You have the right to withdraw your consent where we rely on it, although currently we do not use consent as the lawful basis of any of our data processing activities (see How and why do we use your information, and under what lawful basis?).

You have the right to object to our use of your information (where we rely on our legitimate interests to use your personal information) as long as we are not required by law to continue using or processing the information. You also have an absolute right to object to the processing of your personal data if it is used for direct marketing purposes.
