Aggregate Industries invests in BrakeCheck4Quarries for HME Fleet

The HME (Heavy Mobile Equipment) management team at Aggregate Industries have recently taken delivery of a quantity of electronic brake testers.

The decision was made to invest in this technology to enable them to closely monitor the braking performance of all of their heavy mobile plant machinery and site vehicles, as part of their mandatory safety inspections.

Paul Mitchinson, UK HME Manager said:

“With this in mind, we researched the equipment available to us and decided a suitable option was the ‘BrakeCheck4Quarries’ brake tester from Norfolk-based manufacturers, Bowmonk Tapley. In addition to the brake testing, we are also able to save all of our test results electronically onto our HME software solution utilising Bowmonk’s CabCheckS PC download option.”

As well as purchasing the brake testing equipment, Aggregate Industries also decided to subscribe to Bowmonk’s comprehensive training facility to train dedicated operational personnel to ensure they are fully conversant with the correct testing procedure.
