BrakeCheck Standard Specification Update – June 2026

From 1st June 2026, the BrakeCheck Standard will be updated to include 99 Test Memory and Secondary Brake Test functionality as standard.

Previously available as separate options, both features will now be included in every BrakeCheck Standard unit at no additional cost. This change applies to all new orders placed on or after 1st June 2026.

What is changing

99 Test Memory allows the BrakeCheck Standard to store up to 99 individual test results on the device, so results are retained between sessions without needing to be submitted immediately.

Secondary Brake Test functionality enables testing of the secondary (parking/handbrake) braking system as part of a standard test routine.

Both features are already available on the BrakeCheck Plus & Secondary range. From 1st June, they become part of the BrakeCheck Standard specification as standard.

Why we are making this change

The update is part of a broader effort to simplify the Bowmonk product range and reduce the number of variants available. Fewer SKUs means a cleaner choice for customers and a more straightforward ordering process.

What this means for existing customers

This change applies to new units only. If you have a BrakeCheck Standard purchased before 1st June 2026 and would like to discuss your options, please contact us at [email protected] or call +44 (0)1603 485 153.

Ordering

Updated product information will be reflected on the BrakeCheck Standard product page from 1st June 2026. Orders placed before this date will be fulfilled to the current specification.
