The BrakeCheck Plus is designed to carry out and store service and hand brake tests across fleets of vehicles.

From 1 June 2026, 99-test memory is built into our signature BrakeCheck Standard, which now also adds secondary brake testing. For fleet and multi-vehicle work, the Standard now covers everything the Plus does and more.
The Bowmonk BrakeCheck Plus is a DVSA-approved portable brake tester designed to measure brake efficiency by recording vehicle deceleration during braking.
This Plus model is built for operators who need to store multiple brake test results, making it ideal for HGV 6-weekly and 12-weekly inspections, fleet compliance, and DVSA roadside checks.
Unlike basic testers that store a single result, the BrakeCheck Plus stores up to 99 service brake tests and 99 handbrake tests, so operators can test multiple vehicles and retain results without downloading or overwriting after each test. The same 99-test memory is now built into the BrakeCheck Standard, which also adds secondary brake testing as standard.
