Brakecheck Overview

The Bowmonk BrakeCheck GEO is a portable brake decelerometer that measures brake efficiency while also recording the GPS location of each brake test.

Designed for fleet operators, compliance managers, and mobile inspectors, the GEO combines Bowmonk’s proven brake testing technology with built-in GPS tracking, providing additional traceability and accountability for every recorded test.

This BrakeCheck also supports compliance with the DVSA Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness, where brake performance must be measured and assessed as part of a structured maintenance regime.

The GEO is not currently compatible with BCPRINT PC software for data transfer. If PC-based data download is required, consider the BrakeCheck Plus or standard BrakeCheck models.

Key Features & Functionality

  • Operation: Measures Service Brake and Hand Brake efficiency by recording deceleration from approximately 20 mph. Also records GPS location of test.
  • Diagnostics: Identifies braking imbalance (pulling left or right).
  • Usability: Self-contained and user-friendly. It features a self-compensating level indicator to ensure correct positioning.
  • Data: Results can be viewed on the LED screen or printed via a portable infra-red printer.
  • Memory: Has an independent 99 test memory for both the service and hand brake tests.
  • Power: Powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with an auto power-down feature to save energy.
